In VIS207: Introduction to Graphic Design, I completed four major projects designed to build my design and technical skills. These included creating a typographic logotype and professional résumé, designing a portfolio website, crafting a social media carousel with animations, and developing an interactive scroll story, all of which emphasized conceptualization, visual storytelling, and user-centered design.
For my Scroll Story project, I designed a website targeting college students, particularly those involved in Greek life and interested in philanthropy, with a focus on Tri Delta's Delta Diner event supporting St. Jude Children's Research Hospital. The website features an intuitive layout, interactive elements, and seamless navigation, balancing style and functionality to engage users and promote charitable contributions effectively.
For this project, I designed a social media carousel promoting Tri Delta’s Delta Diner philanthropy event. Inspired by a 1950s diner aesthetic, the design uses bright colors, retro imagery, and Gestalt principles like proximity and similarity to create a cohesive and engaging visual experience, aimed at Syracuse University students while highlighting the event's fun energy and support for St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
