Hi! I’m Sydney DePietto, a driven and passionate student at Syracuse University pursuing a Bachelor of Arts in Magazine, News, and Digital Journalism. With a deep love for storytelling and digital media, I’ve honed my skills through hands-on experiences as a writer, editor, and ESL instructor. My work at the Scarsdale Inquirer and my participation in various educational programs have given me a unique perspective on communication and the power of words. I’m excited to explore new opportunities and expand my knowledge in the media and journalism landscape.
As a staff writer for The Daily Orange, I cover student government initiatives and community-focused stories, aiming to inform and engage my peers. I’ve also contributed to The Scarsdale Inquirer and undertaken graphic design projects, honing my ability to craft both compelling narratives and visually engaging designs. My work blends journalistic rigor with an eye for design, whether I’m creating a scroll story, a social media campaign, or a visually cohesive website.
Beyond academics, I value creativity and collaboration. My experiences in Greek life and campus organizations have deepened my commitment to philanthropy and community engagement, influencing much of my work. When I’m not writing or designing, you’ll find me exploring new coffee shops or sketching ideas for my next project.
Feel free to browse my portfolio and connect—I’m always open to new opportunities and collaborations that allow me to grow as a storyteller and designer.
